Beirut Hostage - Terry Waite

Postby RayGuselli on Tue Jun 24, 2008 3:28 pm

Neil Cross, a press photgrapher from Preston took an amazing photgraph of terry Waite, held hostage for some years in Beirut.

He kindly allowed me to work on his image as a smudge and gave permission for it to be posted....

I have tried within the smudge to keep those facial details and develop the expression of this great man...

I hope it works and that you like it.

Thanks again to Neil for an astounding original to work with

Best wishes

Ray

That is really well done Ray!
And regarding the recent discussion on mustaches and beards, great job there too.

Very sad eyes. Eyes that have seen too much. Nice work!

Ray, this is very fine work. The photo and your painted interpretation of it, seem to capture the very essence of the man.

Keep up the good work!

Best,
