Cute kid..I really like the contrasts of color in this image. Nice frame. I'm wondering if the crop on the images left side is too wide?

That is a real cute one Marty,
Patre is the crop to wide or not wide enough ? if you go by the rules of third it would be the wider one, mind you i do like the more kooky crops if you like to call them that

My hunch was that it was too wide,Marty. I thought about the rule of thirds before I commented. Then cropped it in Photoshop to see if my intuition was credible. I liked the narrower crop because it centered the focus of attention on the little girl. However, this may simply be a personal preference. 99 out of 100 people might have an exactly opposite point of view. Artistic preferences are very subjective and generally speaking,at least,in this case, there is no right ot wrong.

Marty,
as always, excellent work.

For me, I think one of your best.

I appreciate the discussion re framing but the smudgework is excellent.

Best wishes

Patre and Palms, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the composition, and looked at other possibilities. But, in the end, I took the cowardly way out and simply used the framing of the original photo.
Thanks for your remarks.

Ray, thank you for your kind comments.
