This looks really good to me Marty! Two little things that I would change and neither has to do with your smudging. I'd crop down just a smidge from the top to eliminate that little spot of gold/yellow in the upper left corner or clone it out. I'd also crop up from the bottom to eliminate the full daisy that is out of focus. For some reason I find those two things a tad distracting--JMO of course. Well done!!

WoW! Marty this really has a great look to it. It has more of a painted look thats different than other smudges I've seen. Leans more towards a real painting or something like that. Keep it up you did great!

Murry, thanks for your cropping suggestions -- I'll have a look at a cropped version.

Fred, I was trying for a painterly look. I've always thought that that's what smudge-painting was all about. If not painterly to some degree, the result can be not much more than a smoothed-over photo. What am I missing here?
