Well I wasn't actually going to upload my work as I've been rather intimidated by the quality of stuff being done here, but then I thought I'm not going to get any better if I don't get feedback so here is my attempt at the high key that I've seen from Lisa and Sian (mine in no way measures up). The original photo was of terrible quality though, and I think this has come through in the painting..

Let's see if the image upload works..... apologies if the size is too big.. must make them smaller in future I think..

thanks Lamar and Sian... I think I just need to find more time to practice.. I'm really enjoying this smudging and am starting to resent anytime that I can't do it

Beautifully done Angela! :D

My home on the other hand is falling apart  from neglect since I caught the photoshopping bug. It's definitely addicting!
Blessings,

thanks Eda :)..

LOL, I'm glad that I'm not the only one living in mess ;)... I start to feel guilty though when I know that I really should be cleaning, and then can't concentrate fully on the smudge.. I guess I just need to learn to get priorities right.. ie, Photoshop first

Nice to see that I'm surrounded by like minded people.. I wonder if there has been a test done on the use of Photoshop and lack of housework

Great work! I love how you blended the shirt into the background. I have trouble with that.

I really like your smudge Angela! Nice choice on the high-key B&W and really smooth smudging technique. Of course I'm green with envy, now back to the house work :P

Thanks Diane, Jo and Murry :) .

I have trouble with blending the subject in with the background too, and think this could have been better.. I just used a soft white brush and softly brushed over the edges, created a snapshot and then selected that state and used the art history brush to go over the edges.. Oh and Murry, hope that you've finished that housework and got back to the smudging
