Lock the doors and hide your women.......Fred's back

Postby Fred on Thu May 01, 2008 12:37 pm

Hello all it's been really crazy over here but I'm finallyt catching my breath. Sorry I've been away but I thought i would come back with a familar face. Here's a link to some pic's from last Sunday and remember to click on the bottom of pic to get the original for better quality.

Many of you will remember one of these little girls http://www.pbase.com/fredjamesphotograp ... nce&page=2

Thanks for looking and hope you find one to practice your smudges on.

I got them as close as I could without going over board in the prep work
Just remember to add some sharpening like Scott taught us and adjust even more to your likings.

Thanks, Fred

Thanks Fred! How could anyone who took Scott's class not remember that beautiful little girl? You are so generous providing such great photos for us to work on. I will post my results. Jo

Excellent Ray, You have been a good forum friend and participant in the many retouches. It is so nice that a group of so many can get together from around the world and do work like this.

Thanks, Fred

Ronnie, always love your colors and WB . They seem to make your images jump out even more. Is there any tips for someone trying to improve WB/color ? I just bought a Spider calibrator and still working on things. Do you have a color sample you try to match all the time.

Excellent job here Thanks!, Fred

Fred, i would like to say yes but i just play around with the settings every time until i get something i like.
I keep saying to myself to write them down but keep forgetting..
I've just started to play around with curve's after taking Scott's class.

Im glad you liked it.

Excellent smudge work R & R!!

What a great model and image Fred! Nice smudging work Ray and Ronnie! To me there seems to be a sweet spot that Ronnie hits quite often where his smudge painting actually looks like a perfect photo and Ray stops just in time to create a perfect painting :) I really like both versions but I'd sure like to know Ronnie's secret??
