Today was the saddest goodbye...........

Postby RayGuselli on Sun Nov 09, 2008 6:27 am

After a long struggle we had to make the heartwrenching decision to call the vet to our wonderful Gizmo.

I have had many cats but never one like this guy....

I did asmudge of him recently and thought the verse appropriate (my thanks to Diane Ramsey) for sending it to me some time ago.

Just wanted to share our grief as we buried him in the garden and will plant something to always remember him by.

A tearful day for us all....

Ray, Ann and Maria

I am so sorry for your loss. Gizmo had a good life with a family that loved him. Your smudge is a beautiful memorial. Jo

Very sorry to learn of Gizmo's demise, Ray.

I expect you'll think me foolish, but a main reason I never owned a pet is that I never wanted to experience the pain of losing it -- the pain that you and Ann and Maria are now feeling.

I hope your sadness passes soon and that your lives return quickly to normal.

Best,
-- Marty

Marty, not at all, thats the main reason im still holding of getting another Dog.
I lost my dog new years day last year, he was 16 but fell and broke his leg, it took me a few months to get over him going and as much as i would love another Dog, just dont know if i can go through that again.

Oh Ray how sad. I lost my dog last Nov. I still have her water bowl laying around as if she is still here. The rainbow bridge poem is comforting though cuz you know they are just waiting for you and what a reunion that's gonna be! I can't wait to see her ears perk up at the sight of me. Their love is so pure and soo unconditional. Our kids adore us like that when they are babies but they sure do outgrow that stage fast. By the time they are teens they are sick of us. Our pets however, never do outgrow that stage, they never tire of us.
Blessings,
Eda
