Very nice Jo and Marty. I like both style a lot.

Do any of you know what to charge for something like this? I've been asked in the past to do some for pay but I never charge. Always just do it for free and I really wouldn't know what would be reasonable.

Nancy,
I copied the following paragraph off of the FAQ at Brad Buttry's site:

"How much do the finished art pieces sell for?
Prices depend on the size of the artwork, how it is printed, mounted, and framed. Prices range from $200 to $2,000 or more. How you successfully market your work determines your price."

And here is the URL to another site with pricing information:

Patre, thanks for that info. I wouldn't be able to charge like that! I'm no Brad for sure. My work will never be of that quality

I think it is a hard one to call, i have been asked a few times to do some work for someone and have done it free

maybe the best way is to work out if you will be printing and framing and what that will cost

or if it is just a print, have a think what you would pay/ be able to pay for the work, to charge close to £100 would mean no one would want the work here or very few but around £30 more would be tempted ( not framed etc) but of course that does not reflect the time spent on the work,

so do you want to make a living out of it or just a bit of pocket money ?

I know this has probably been of no use to you sorry ! ! ! !

Palms, your answer is helpful. I've done many of these free of charge and lately my sister has shown the ones of her grandkids to some friends. That's how I'm getting asked to do some for pay. I didn't know what to charge but I actually did tell her that I didn't think I couldn't charge more than around $30.00 maybe even $25. I don't think people around here would be interested either at the higher prices. Thanks for your thoughts. It helped me decide.
I don't expect to make a living at this although it would be nice!

Nancy you could always do a "special deal" for a limited time and if you get a lot to do you know you are too cheap so put your price up, sounds as if you have a handy market there :)
